Cory's Broken Nails

I had the privilege of watching Home Run again last night and every time it blesses me in new and wonderful ways.
Watching it last night reminded me of an old saying, “If you are building a house and a nail breaks, do you stop building, or do you change the nail?"

In the movie Home Run we see a man, Cory, that tried for most of his life to build a life using the wrong nails. His poor choices, unresolved hurts from a painful relationship with his dad and lots of other baggage, kept him from growing into the man God desired him to be.
So he would get frustrated, mask the pain, run emotionally & stop building. This robbed himself of a relationship with his son, wife and others.

The beauty about CR is that it helps us realize that we have been using the wrong tools, nails and process to deal with life's junk. CR teaches us that we don't have to quit & how to replace our poor choices with His healing and life changing choices.
We learn that we don't have to give up. God is willing, able and caring and is most definitely ready to give us His tools to not only build the house correctly, but build it better & stronger than ever.

Have you ever felt like giving up? Don't be discouraged. God has some great tools to help you continue in the building process.

Keep fighting. Keep building. Keep swinging for the fences. Change is possible. Freedom is possible!
God has big plans for you.
