The Aftermath of Skunk Spray


Ever had one of those situations where you think maybe you should have thought a decision through a little better before acting on it?

I hope I am remembering this story correctly but years ago my brother-in-law was having issues with skunks out on his land in the country. They kept going under their house and causing all kinds of havoc.

He decided a good solution would be to put some poison & eggs under the house so it would get rid of them once and for all.
The only problem with this plan was it worked. :) They died alright, but under their house. The added issue was when a skunk dies it usually leaves a little gift behind, a nice final farewell spray. 
So now, he had to crawl under there to go get the dead skunks out from under his house in the midst of a cloud of unbearable smell. Their entire home had this lovely odor for an extended period.

Sometimes the choices me make can have some big consequences. They can sometimes leave some big messes that effect not only us but those close to us.
The hope is that if and when we start heading down a path that is wrong, we listen to the Holy Spirit's nudges and respond with action.

"So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves." Gal 5:16
If you are dealing with the aftermath of some poor choices, run into his arms and He will guide you thru this. The consequences may take a while to work thru but the Father will help grow you thru it. The hope is that we learn from our past mistakes and prevent future messes.
Seek Him daily and allow Him to guide each step you take. His way is always better.

Why do we introduce ourselves?

One of the things that might confuse a newcomer coming into this great ministry is the way we introduce our self and do so every time we meet in a Step Group and/or Open discussion group. The question that often comes up is; “Why in the world would we have to introduce our self every time we come together? I mean, we all know each other don’t we? We all know what the other is struggling with right? So why should I have to state my main issue I am dealing with?
