Even Disowning Him: PAID IN FULL

Peter took a moral inventory that day...

"Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken: 'Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.' And he went outside and wept bitterly." Matt 26:75

How many times have I disowned the Father when things got tough, messy, or unbearable in my life. How many times do I mess things up playing God with my life only to get myself in a bigger mess.
And yet, knowing all these things, Jesus, remaining who He was (fully God) became sin, who knew no sin that we might become His righteousness. Our Savior walked that long and treacherous road with the weight of our sin, in humiliation, pain, and mockery to become obedient to death.
This giver of life, gave us new and vibrant life & grace, something we do not deserve. He gave us mercy, which is 'not' giving us what we deserve. Every item on our inventory is wiped out, Paid in Full!

"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by His wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

If you are in pain or struggling this Good Friday, remember change is coming. By His wounds we are healed.  It's Friday, but Sunday's coming.
We have a lot to be thankful for today.
Today we remember Good Friday.
