YOU matter!

By Amanda Allen, Celebrate Recovery participant, 9/5/2018

We are all human beings who have hearts and feelings.
I tend to forget that I have this entire community of people surrounding me, that I can relate to.

No matter the background, no matter the personal battle, I know I possess empathy to be able to learn from, grow with and become friends with these people.

"I give you a new commandment: love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
John 13:34

Coming from a dark place, where I used to feel so alone and depressed, it's a wonderful feeling to know that it's actually just a matter of facing my fears of rejection and being willing to be vulnerable.

"Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert."
Isaiah 43:19

The more I face the fears I have, the more I realize that many other people struggle with similar feelings.
