WITH One Another

Don’t miss the huge value of our recovery.
What is that value?
With”

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV

In Celebrate Recovery, it can be easy to buy into the lie that we have to face life’s struggles on our own. If I have to ask for help, I must be weak right? Not hardly. The scriptures are pretty clear about ensuring that we stay connected with each other and God Himself in the good and the bad times.

There is an incredible power in going from praying for someone to praying with them. In Celebrate Recovery, we don’t just congratulate each other in our recovery journey milestones like picking up that first 30-day coin. Or finishing our first 4th step, making it to a meeting when we were tempted to stay home, making a much-needed amends to keep our side of the street clean and more. No, in Celebrate Recovery, we don’t just congratulate each other in the victories of recovery, we celebrate with each other.

When we do this, we truly live out Romans 12:15. We weep with each other by getting in the pit with the other in our pain. And we rejoice with each other as we celebrate what God is doing! There is nothing better than seeing the truth of dividing our struggles amongst the body and then multiplying the celebration.

That’s why we call it Celebrate Recovery. We are in this with one another. No matter where the other might be in their journey and no matter what kind of day he or she might be having.

Thank God for the “with” brothers and sisters God has blessed you with in your life today.
