Paid In Full

18 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors.
And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.
19 It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
1 Peter 1:18-19

How do I do it?

How do we ever pay Jesus back for all He has done for you and me?

Jesus freely chose to die for yours and my sins--the ultimate sacrifice so that we could have Heaven with him for eternity.  There is no greater love than this.  It is out of complete humility and grateful hearts that all of us give back to God the way we do.  We dedicate our lives to glorifying God in our thoughts, speech, and actions, telling others about Him and what He's done in each of our lives.  We lift each other up in prayer, and we praise Him with everything we have.

As we go through this Holy Week together, and as we gather with loved ones this weekend, let's remember HIM.  The one who paid it all.

The Death of Jesus
-Luke 23:44-46-
44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land
until three in the afternoon,
45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Jesus Has Risen!
-Luke 24:1-6a-
24 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright, the women bowed down with their faces to the ground,
but the men said to them,
“Why do you look for the living among the dead?
6 He is not here;
HE HAS RISEN!
