By Kareena Holloway,  Fellowship Bible Church NWA CR Women's Encourager Coach 3/28/18 18  For you know that God paid  a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors.  And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.   19  It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.  1 Peter 1:18-19 How do I do it?     How do we  ever pay Jesus back for all He has done for you and me?   Jesus freely chose to die for yours and my sins--the ultimate sacrifice so that we could have Heaven with him for eternity.  There is no greater love than this.  It is out of complete humility and grateful hearts that all of us give back to God the way we do.  We dedicate our lives to glorifying God in our thoughts, speech, and actions, telling others about Him and what He's done in each of our lives.  We lift each other up in prayer...

Who is your 3?

By  Rodney Holmstrom,  Celebrate Recovery National Director West,  Fellowship NWA Celebrate Recovery Ministry Leader Who is your 3? “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”  Ephesians  5:21  (NIV) Who is your Paul? Your Timothy? Your Barnabas? In recovery and life, we all need someone who is further down the road from us [a Paul] that we can look to for wisdom, guidance and occasionally a loving rebuke when they see us stepping into some old destructive patterns from our past.  We also need a Barnabas, don’t we? This person is someone that is walking the journey alongside us that can offer a word of encouragement in the journey. I don’t know about you, but I am so grateful for those ‘Barnabas’ people in my life. Sometimes we can view the ‘Barnabas’ people in our life as the ones that only speak words of encouragement. Although this is so valua...

Yes, Jesus loves me!

Image
By: Carl Kimbro, Fellowship Bible Church CR brother, 3/14/2018 You are loved! "God loves you!" How many times have we heard that and said: “That can’t be true for someone like me. Not after all the things I have done. How can God love me when I don’t love me”? Sound familiar? Why is it so hard to believe this truth of scripture? Many times in our past we have been rejected, been told we don’t measure up, or told outright we were not wanted or loved. In a world filled with hurts habits and hang-ups, if told this often enough we will begin to believe it. It is easy to believe that we have no value when we “mess up” so often or so badly. And if others close to us don’t love us, or if we don’t love ourselves, can a perfect all powerful God love us? The answer is a resounding yes! Isaiah gives us a vivid picture of God’s unmovable unchangeable love in Isaiah 54:10:  “ Though the mountains  be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my un...

By Kareena Holloway, Fellowship Bible Church NWA CR Women's Encourager Coach 3/7/18 Have you ever been doing something for so long you just get tired?  Take running for example.   What are some key components to running a long distance?   You need to: dress the part!  You can't run a mile in clothing that's too thick or doesn't breathe, and you want to have good shoes on! No flip-flops! "Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to  resist the enemy in the time of evil.  Then after the battle you will still be standing firm." Eph. 6:13  hydrate and fuel your body before and for the extent of the distance. "But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again.  It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life." John 4:14 get and give some encouragement as you go.  You're not in this alone! "So do not f...
