Say "Yes" To Serve

How do we know we are in recovery? When we take the focus off of our self and put it onto others. What happens when a sponge receives water and then just sits? That rotting smell can creep into our life when we don’t give back from what we have been given. We are blessed to be a blessing.
We don't want our ministry to have people that just come to fill up. When we have people invested in a growing ministry, good things happen. Neither do we want only a handful of people to be doing the majority of the work. We want to pull together to do what is needed and keep this ministry thriving and strong working together for a great cause. That is a healthy ministry. Why do we introduce ourselves?

One of the things that might confuse a newcomer coming into this great ministry is the way we introduce our self and do so every time we meet in a Step Group and/or Open discussion group. The question that often comes up is; “Why in the world would we have to introduce our self every time we come together? I mean, we all know each other don’t we? We all know what the other is struggling with right? So why should I have to state my main issue I am dealing with? These are all logical questions and I think the below content from Tina at Saddleback might help shed some light on this.
